‘Cyrus could speak with animals, particularly birds.’

Shot of bird flying over Cyrus’ head, worm’s eye view.

PANEL 02

‘The police were looking for a man of his description, thinking that he was the Smokey Bear Serial Killer that was known to lurk in parks late at night.’

Shot of Cyrus walking down a hill.  At the top of the hill is a shadow holding a gun.

PANEL 03

‘Cyrus was not the killer.  But he did frequent parks at odd hours, making bird calls.  He was the man later to become known as The Warbler.’

Shot of Cyrus cooing with pigeons in the park. “Coo-coo. Coo!”

PANEL 01

‘The people, led by detective Fanny Johnson and her police squad, feared him.  But the scientists who knew this about him could understand.’

Shot of Cyrus feeding birds in daylight at the park, making calls to the House Sparrows.  “Chee chee.  Chee Cheet.”

PANEL 02

‘He had a brain disease, a special condition of a particular animal behavioral trait that was unique and special. But it was different, and people thought he was strange.’

Shot of Cyrus standing in a ray of sunlight, looking upwards, towards the sky.

PANEL 03

‘I like Cyrus even after I found out. But there were people who hunted him.  They wanted to silence The Warbler.’
